The Argument in Contradictions
...Big Brother Explains it All
Freedom is Slavery
There shall no longer be any need for privacy in our modern world. It is vital that we be willing to sacrifice this selfish custom for the common good. This is the only way to insure the continued existence of domestic tranquility. Without this necessary evil, it is impossible to maintain order within our society. Privacy allows those who would normally be identified to remain concealed, thus isolating themselves from the just consequences of any unlawful action.
Any who would fail to willingly sacrifice their privacy for the benefit of all, must surely be involved in misdeeds of their, and desperately in fear of exposure. Why else would anyone feel discomfort at being identified, if their actions were acceptable?
It is no longer a question of personal rights, but a matter of civil duty. The very freedom we have enjoyed is that which has created our fears and insecurity. We are no longer able to move about safely within our communities; property cannot be retained without certain added protections; our very lives are threatened by the increasing disintegration of order within our society. It would seem that we have been enslaved by the very freedom we hold so dear.
War is Peace
There shall no longer be any other recourse to insure peace within our modern world, than the mutually aggressive act of organized military confrontation. Without this necessary evil, it is impossible to establish and maintain order. Diplomacy provides temporary sanctuary for those who seek to remain outside the borders of acceptable behavior, and allows them to continue to spread their discontent and political unrest. Therefore, in order to prevent the spread of international conflict, instant and costly physical consequences must be imposed by force.
If we cannot respond to these threats in an immediate and undeniable manner, it must certainly be due to a lack of courage on our part. Why would anyone question this type of overtly aggressive response, when it so clearly demonstrates to the level of our collective commitment to world peace?
The subject of international relations no longer qualifies as simply a matter relevant to the individual nation, but has now risen to the level of existential threat for all. The non-military pursuit of peace has only served to create larger ongoing conflicts and civil unrest. We no longer enjoy the luxury of living detached from world events within this interconnected global economy. Therefore, to protect our nation and our way of life, we must secure immediate and total political submission from any offending party.
Ignorance is Strength
There shall no longer be any need for the individual to acquire vast amounts of independent knowledge in our modern world. There is no reason for spending long hours and large sums of money upon the process of education, when all pertinent information is readily available through the state. Extensive study of divisive concepts, merely serves to provide the lazy intellectual with an excuse to avoid sharing the burdens and commitment necessary to maintain a healthy society.
It is not a shameful thing to lack the capacity to understand those advanced and confusing developments that are constantly changing our world. The individual who cannot separate things that are beyond their understanding, and accept their place without question, should always be the one most suspected of deviance. What business is it of any person to think they should know all of the answers?
Our strength depends on accepting what we are each required to know, and using this information to conduct ourselves within the limits carefully constructed for all by our society. The ignorance of facts which have no bearing on our lives does not damage us, but makes our lives far more productive and satisfying. Those who would ask too many questions, and seek too many answers, are the very same people who needlessly complicate the lives of others.
