The complete annihilation of the Democratic Party could be viewed as such. Not unlike amoral wrecking balls intent on demolishing Republican values to establish an American version of a Fourth Reich. In case you don’t buy it… then remember this day.
My Dad taught me what he learned in Civics back in school. He graduated in a class of less than ten in rural America, back when saluting the flag was considered optional.
We’ve allowed sycophants and psychopaths to steer the ship of state into unending chaos, fueled by sales of weapons and technology, rather than distribution of agricultural commodities. Half the world is hungry… and it’s only going to get worse!
We cannot resolve ourselves to be faithful adherents to the school of nonviolence, if doing so only serves to guarantee ongoing annihilation of unarmed and innocent beings of all ages, genders, and colors around the globe. That type of cowardice is simply not an option for me. It is the very reason neither U.S. party has a backbone.
History is littered with stories outlining the demise of decent people, who refused to ignore racism and militarism while they were on the rise, until they, themselves, were ultimately stripped of any capacity to question the justification of their own arrests.
Denial does not require effort; ignorance sure ain’t bliss; and cognitive lubrication by means of facts and statistics always expose the imminent enslavement of a free nation.

Over the past 50 years American productivity has gone up, yet real wages have dropped, along with the average savings account balance.
In 1969, the rate of federal income tax on those earning more than a million dollars was 90%. Today, even if income isn’t hidden offshore, tax loopholes can reduce marginal rates well below 30%.
Such changes, and undeclared “wars” in violation of the Constitution, have run up a $29 trillion national debt, and forced a hundred million families to borrow themselves to the brink of personal financial collapse and beyond.
(FYI: Medical bills have been the #1 cause of bankruptcy for 18 years.)
Multinational corporations have abandoned almost all of their financial responsibility to our people, using tax loopholes, offshoring profits, slashing employee healthcare, halting retirement pensions, excluding overtime eligibility, and outsourcing the manufacture of American products. In fact, the Reagan administration even created a branch of U.S. Government, which lobbied American corporations to relocate to Central America using taxpayer dollars, until it was covered by CBS on 60 Minutes.
